And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood...”

As the roads diverge,

The world is always asking,

Which path will you take?

Will you pretend you’re Asian

Or will you be white?

You won’t be accepted by either,

But biraciality is ignored.

Do we have to choose a road

Or is there a hidden road?

For the multiracial people

Searching for a place of comfort

To find a sense of belonging

In this racially divided world.

Unable to travel both

But forced to choose

Which has made all the difference.
